The village lies within the boundary of the South Downs National Park in a rural landscape of open farmland, rolling chalk hills and ancient woodland. The village is valued by residents for its natural rural beauty, the peaceful and tranquil environment, the very strong community spirit and its relatively close proximity to a good road and rail network. The village is referenced in the Domesday Book of 1086, when it was known as Niwenton.
New residents are made warmly welcome and given every opportunity to integrate easily into village and community life.
There are two defibrillators, one by the front door of the village hall and one on the right hand side of the drive into Inadown Stables. How to use The Lifepak CR2 AED - YouTube
